InterLanCentral FTP Site for Autodesk Discussion Groups

Ground Rules - Setup

• If you have files over 1.5MB, or if you are unable to post files in the Discussion Group for any reason, they may be posted here.
• You may easily access the FTP site from Internet Explorer 6+ (will not work in Firefox) by selecting this Link: Discussion Group FTP Access - site address: ftp://newsgroup:Inventor1@interlancentral.com
• If you are a frequent user, you might choose to add a new Network Place in Windows for the FTP site. Here's how:
  • Go to My Network Places, Select Add Network Place
  • Select Choose another network location, Pick Next.
  • Type in ftp://ftp.interlancentral.com, Pick Next.
  • Uncheck Log on Anonymously , Add newsgroup (all lower case), Pick Next.
  • Add a name for this network place, then pick Next.
  • When you open the network place, you will be prompted for a password. Type in (exactly) Inventor1. You may opt to save the password.

Ground Rules - Usage

This is a public site - do not post confidential information

Go to the current month folder

Create a folder with your name - No Spaces allowed in folder name.

Drag & drop or copy/paste the zipped file to your folder. Any file type is acceptable up to 2MB unzipped. (Larger files over 200MB will be deleted in 30 days after posting, to preserve storage capacity)

Single File sizes up to 60GB are acceptable, however, you may have limits on your own upload/download abilities.

Be sure to post in the appropriate newsgroup with the filename, indicating that it has been uploaded here.

AVI and Flash(SWF) videos may be posted without zipping for download/playback convenience.

Any inappropriate file types or postings may result in the loss of this FTP site for everyone.

This means NO inappropriate images, porn, or offensive material. Violators may be prosecuted.

Please be reasonable in your usage.

Older files will be deleted when usage approaches server capacity.

• Parts posed for public sharing will not be deleted.
• Deletions will be done by oldest folder dates first.
